UKNARIC19, Westminster, 4 and 5 November

The dates and venue for the 23rd UK NARIC annual conference have been confirmed. UKNARIC19 will be held on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 November 2019.

Following excellent 2018 delegate feedback, we are delighted to announce a return to the QEII Centre in Westminster, London.

You can pre-register for conference to guarantee your place and places for colleagues. Email conference@naric.org.uk and tell us how many places you require.

Almost 600 people, from over 25 countries, attended two plenaries, an evening reception, and more than 40 specialist workshops and interactive discussion panel sessions over the two days of UKNARIC2018, making our 22nd annual conference the biggest-ever . A similarly relevant, stimulating, and varied event is planned for UKNARIC19.

The overarching theme of the conference was Global Gateways – New Thresholds, New Skills, New Times.

In accord with this, keynote speaker, bestselling writer and journalist Tim Marshall, author of Prisoners of Geography, talked about how we are now in an ‘age of uncertainty and an age of walls’. It was against this backdrop that we had to consider issues of student and labour mobility

There were several interactive discussion and panel sessions throughout the conference, which addressed issues such as English language proficiency, transnational education, FE and the international market, and immigration compliance.

More than 40 specialist workshops took place to address the latest discussion points in international education, with lots of practical information and ideas to take away, and opportunities to explore and forge new partnerships.
