The UKNARIC19 overarching theme is: 'Vision. Values. Impact.'

Our 3 sub-themes -

Suitability, standards, control

Opportunities: now and future

Education and knowledge as ambassadors

Our programme of over 40 varied specialist workshops will align with these. You can use these themes to help you tailor your personalised workshop programme to suit your needs and interests.

There will be strong strands of content on branding, brand values, cultural values, and how you can project your institutional identity internationally, including in the context of TNE.

UKNARIC19 will explore how international education operates in the wider context of trade and diplomacy, which is becoming increasingly complex.

Sections of conference will have a special focus on the FE and skills sector, and professional bodies. There are some important international opportunities opening up in these areas, and UKNARIC19 will offer chances to network and explore collaborations.

Continuing uncertainty around Brexit and the coming Tier 4 and Tier 2 landscape raises many questions - expert speakers on immigration law and compliance will deal with these issues and offer valuable guidance.

Immigration and fees complications will place a renewed focus on TNE (Trans-National Education) and there will be UKNARIC19 workshops on the detailed planning needed for TNE, and how to avoid and mitigate what can be substantial risks.

Almost 600 people, from over 25 countries, attended two plenaries, an evening reception, and more than 40 specialist workshops and interactive discussion panel sessions over the two days of UKNARIC2018, making our 22nd annual conference the biggest-ever . A similarly relevant, stimulating, and varied event is planned for UKNARIC19.
