Oxford International AQA Examinations

New international A Level, AS Level and GCSE qualifications launched: can be taught from September 2016

New international A Level, AS Level and GCSE qualifications were launched last week by Oxford International AQA Examinations. This is a new joint venture between Oxford University Press and the awarding body AQA.

The qualifications are available now for first teaching from September 2016.

UK NARIC has conducted a detailed benchmarking study of the new qualifications. The conclusion of the UK NARIC analysis is that the new international qualifications are comparable to their UK A Level, AS Level and GCSE counterparts.

The UK NARIC study evaluated the qualification specifications, specimen examination papers, marking guidelines and assessment documentation across a range of subjects.
