CEO in Kuala Lumpur for latest ASEM Asia-Europe meeting

Representing the UK, UK NARIC CEO, Dr Cloud Bai-Yun, is attending the 5th working group meeting for the implementation of the ASEM (Asia-Europe) recognition bridging declaration, in Kuala Lumpur on 20 and 21 April.

UK NARIC continues to provide essential support to the development of international recognition practice and qualification frameworks in the Asia-Pacific regions.

Cloud is one of the founding members of the Bridging Declaration committee, established under the Asia-Europe education framework.

The focus areas for this year's working group meeting include:

  • A progress update for the ANNICW (Asian National Information Centres Coordinating Website) launched in 2015 - www.aniccw.net/CBQAN ;

  • The proposed handbook of guidelines, principles and good practice on recognition in the ASEM region;

    and

  • Development plans for CBQAN (the Cross-Border Quality Assurance Network in Higher Education in Asia and Europe).
