UK NARIC has signed two new Memoranda of Understanding with the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) and the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) this month.
These latest agreements provide further platforms to support the growth of quality transnational education, in both the Asia-Pacific region and China. This will include where possible cooperation in the implementation of the UK NARIC TNE Quality Benchmark (TNE QB) scheme.
The TNE Quality Benchmark scheme is intended as an international independent peer-review service aimed at building confidence in TNE provision, regardless of location of origin or delivery, against the background of standards aligned with existing international reference points.
The service is underpinned by global cooperation with international credential evaluators, quality assurance bodies and networks, with a view to helping inform TNE qualification recognition decisions.
These two recent agreements with APQN and CEAIE follow on from a similar memorandum of understanding between UK NARIC and the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE) in July.
UK NARIC is increasingly engaged in international discussions to improve the recognition climate for TNE.
As these discussions develop, there will be further updates in future editions of this newsletter.
