eTRG2 - Evaluating International Qualifications: a Fast Introduction
eTraining module information

The focus of this fast introduction is to develop your understanding of basic principles for accurately evaluating international qualifications

The practice and methodologies of qualification evaluation differ across the world – no matter the level of the award or the subject area. Even taking the guidelines of the Lisbon Convention as a starting point, there is still debate about the most appropriate way to evaluate international awards. This course considers and applies some guiding principles of recognition to help you correctly evaluate international qualifications.

This course is a clearly set out starting point in exploring the complex process of credential evaluation.

The Lisbon Convention and UK NARIC’s own applied methodology are explained. Worldwide education models and the Bologna Process are introduced. A checklist is provided for reviewing academic credentials.

The training is aimed at those involved in recruiting holders of international qualifications for study or employment, and serves as either an introductory or refresher course.

Included in the training are questions and mini-tests, so you can assess your own learning and progress.
