BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
-Training and Events

Organisation: UK NARIC

Location: Cheltenham

Starting Salary: £25,000 per annum basic salary, plus commission on sales

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm or 9.00am-5.30pm

Benefits: Contributory pension, and non-contributory Private Health Care.


UK NARIC is the designated national agency in the United Kingdom for the recognition of international qualifications and professional skills. We offer a wide range of unique products and services to support organisations with their international recruitment and international collaborations.

UK NARIC services are used by hundreds of subscriber members worldwide. These include all UK universities; educational institutions in over 60 countries; colleges; professional bodies; government ministries and agencies; and large international businesses.

Able to travel frequently within the UK and occasionally overseas.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Successful achievement of Commercial Division revenue targets for scheduled events and training
  • Positive contribution towards the exhibition and sponsorship sales target for UK NARIC events
  • Development of the training and events portfolio.

Training and Event Delivery:

  • Delivery of face to face training and seminar provision to existing and new customers
  • Present specialist advice to delegates at UK NARIC and third party events (including the annual conference).

Person Specification

Essential Desirable
Qualifications
An HND or a degree from a UK University Bachelor, Masters, Post Graduate or Doctorate Sales Management qualifications; Training qualifications
Skills/Attributes
Experienced in the successful development and delivery of high impact innovative bespoke and standard training for a range of audiences, achieving very positive feedback and positive evidence of the effectiveness of the training
Excellent consultative skills, able to listen to and understand a clients’ needs and develop bespoke training which meets those requirements
Experienced presenter able to effectively deliver impactful presentations to clients and answer their questions
Excellent communicator, charismatic, assertive, professional and credible when dealing with clients
Highly motivated, tenacious, driven, and determined to achieve and exceed sales targets set
Highly organised, with excellent planning skills and the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining high quality standards
Ability to quickly develop a thorough understanding of UK NARIC’s markets and products
Very strong interpersonal skills able to create and maintain good relationships with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels
IT Literate able to effectively use Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; to conduct internet research; experience of using Survey Monkey and CRM database or similar systems
Experiences
Proven record of success in new business sales and upselling to existing customers Sales experience within relevant sectors: further and higher education, or international education; or recruitment
