All UK NARIC services are running well, despite coronavirus/COVID-19 restrictions. This includes Member Enquiries. As we are remote working, PDF e-statements are being issued instead of paper statements. Note that we are not receiving postal deliveries at this time. More information:

Schemes to support entry to trades and professions in the UK

UK NARIC collaborates with a number of sector lead organisations and professional bodies to support their application and entry processes.

If you have international qualifications and are seeking entry to regulated trades and professions in the UK, UK NARIC offers a range of services and supporting documents to assist you.

A UK NARIC Statement of Comparability can demonstrate that your international qualifications satisfy the criteria of the Department for Education (DfE) for entry into the teaching profession in England. Go to our Teaching page for more information.

The Early Years Sector

The Department for Education (DfE) also sets out requirements for delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EFYS) in England. The UK NARIC Early Years Service has been developed in collaboration with the DfE and is designed to evidence that applicants satisfy required criteria.

Electrician and related trades

A UK NARIC Statement of Comparability evidences the level of your overseas qualifications/training to support your application for an ECS card (the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme). The ECS is operated by the Joint Industry Board (JIB) and covers electrical trades in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (there are different arrangements in Scotland). The JIB will also assess and map your qualifications and skills in further detail before issuing an ECS card. Go to our ECS page for more information.

Construction trades

CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications. CSCS (the Construction Skills Certification Scheme) uses the UK NARIC Statement of Comparability for Construction Skills, along with Primary Source Verification of qualifications, for individuals with overseas qualifications, as part of their application process for a CSCS card. See our Construction page for more information.
