UK NARIC CEO, Dr Cloud Bai-Yun, is speaking at the first plenary meeting of the Council of Europe platform on Ethics, Transparency and Integrity in Education (ETINED), Strasbourg, 24-25 November 2016.

ETINED is the new Council of Europe platform that aims to address corruption in education through genuinely European dialogue and intergovernmental cooperation.

The ETINED mandate has been shaped and agreed upon by the 50 states who are party to the European Cultural Convention.

Taking account of previous experiences of the Council of Europe and the ENIC-NARIC network, the issue of recognition of qualifications is the third priority of action, focusing in particular on the problems of education fraud and the matters of accreditation and diploma mills.

UK NARIC plays a leading role in the detection and prevention of education fraud.

The ETINED platform will pool best European practice on ethics, transparency and integrity in education, disseminate this, and produce guidelines.
