The UK National Europass Centre
The role of the United Kingdom National Europass Centre is to promote the Europass initiative within the UK. Europass is a European wide initiative aimed at improving the mobility and employability of all citizens.
Established in 2005, the Europass initiative has been designed to help people showcase their skills and qualifications through the use of
five relevant documents.
The UK NEC coordinates, manages and promotes Europass activities and events throughout the United Kingdom. It is also the national agency that represents the UK in the European Network of National Europass Centres.
The UK NEC is funded through the Lifelong Learning Programme, and is under governmental contract from the Department for Work and Pensions (now the Department of Education and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills).
