UK ReferNet is part of the ReferNet network, which offers comparable information on VET across Europe.
The network was established by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) and provides a decentralised information exchange, based on national consortia in participating countries, made up of VET stakeholders.
Network activities are focused on documentation and information exchange on developments in VET policy and research across the European Union.
ECCTIS Ltd is the coordinator of UK ReferNet from January 2012. This UK network is jointly funded by Cedefop and the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

ECCTIS Ltd leads on the production and editing of research and reports. The ReferNet steering group provides guidance and help with this process. This group comprises key vocational education and training (VET) stakeholders in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It meets once a year to exchange information on policy developments and trends within VET, and to steer the activity of the network.
